Here's a water bottle one of my friend's designed. She's a super talented designer, so if you get the time, stop by this site: www.mysigg.com/siggart and scroll down to find her water bottle and give it 5 stars to vote! :-) Thanks!

Update on week in Florida
Well, I returned Saturday at 3ish, minus one husband from Florida. No, no, nothing bad happened :-) We just determined that it would be best for Jordan to stay one more week to do some more insurance training and be in the office with his dad. So, we got some things covered for the weekend, made some switches, changed his flight from Saturday to this Friday, and I came home by myself.
The trip was great, but mostly consisted of a lot of work. We found ourselves in the office late pretty much each night, but were still able to squeeze in some family time, some Jack Bauer time and some American idol time. I am SO wanting Melinda to win. She has the most incredible voice I think I've ever heard as well as being a person who truly loves Jesus, and it shows all over her. And I think that's amazing. Lots of people claim to be "Christians" but there are few in the entertainment biz on whom it really shows. I'm totally behind her!
Of course I had to go to Teavana, even though we have our own in Nashville now, it's very out of my way and very difficult for me to find time to get to Green Hills. I guess it's a good thing I no longer work in Maryland Farms, because I would be finding a way to get down there several times a week. I bought a couple new teas: Apple Lemon Pomegranate and Vermont Maple and they are both SO SO SO good. And I restocked my Rooibos Chai & Rooibois Sweet Amore.
It was a great trip- very productive, and now I am back gome and thick in the swing of things, preparing for camp and travel, etc.
Only a week and a few days until our big Lake Tahoe trip! Woohoo- can't wait!

Brooke Fraser

I haven't bought a non-worship cd in a loooonnng time. Jordan got a Johnny Lang Cd for his birthday from Ferris in January but that is the last one I think we got. I came across Brooke's cd when I was ordering the new Hillsong United cd- she's one of thei main writers and as I was searching around, I came across this cd and her website and Myspace Music page.
I was absolutely hooked.
She reminds me of the last female singer that I totally fell in love with: KT Tunstall (thnx Trish!) except better, because she loves the Lord. Her writing is so good: biblical, fresh and creative and the melodies are amazing!! If you get a chance, check it out. I had to pay a little more for the cd since I had to order it from New Zealand, but it is totally worth it!!

Wedding Weekend
Jordan and I were in a wedding this weekend. The connection is a funny one, because it's a guy I went to Brentwood High with, but Jordan met a few years ago through business, since he is a Mortgage Broker and this other guy is a realtor.
My mom actually met his older sister, also a realtor, in line to vote or the 2004 Prez elections several years ago. Random, or God, which is what I know it was!
So, Nick & Kathryn got married this week. I could kick myself for forgetting my camera *again* but I think I'll let myself off the hook. We weren't in the wedding party, but were a part of the music...let me re-phrase that..we WERE the music. Really, more so Jordan, who played the Prelude music, the seating of grand/mothers, Bridesmaids, and Bridal Processional. I sang "Feels Like Home." It was a beautiful rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception, and we were excited to be a part of it.
In other Roe news- this week is crazy as weeks come! Tonight is our only night to be at home and "prepare" for the week ahead. I have a bunch of church things to work on, not to mention yard and cleaning endeavors as well. Only by God's grace will I accomplish what's ahead :-) And it doesn't look like "24" will make the cut again this week. Too bad, I do want to know if Prez Palmer's okay and if Jack has rescued his love, but we'll have to wait and figure it out when we watch it next week- most likely...
That being said...I must get back to work. This was my 25 minute lunch break. (dont worry, I wasn't writing this the whole time..that would be sad if it took me that long to write this much) Nope, this was the past 4 minutes, so blessings on your Monday.

Horrible...
I cannot get past what I found out about 2 hours ago regarding the shootings at Virginia Tech. I cannot imagine what the students, faculty and family are going through. Please pray for this campus and what is happening right now.

Didn't expect this....
So how about this for a fine Thursday morning in April?
Spring Hill Weather Forecast and Conditions Tennessee (37174)
Yep- that's right. 42 degrees, but feels like 36. This morning, as I woke up to Jordan's really early alarm, my first thought was, "oh my word- you have to be kidding. It's FREEZING!" I did what any other normal woman would do and opted to snuggle deeper into the blanket rather than put on more clothes to keep me warm. When I got up 30 minutes later, it was still FREEZING. I checked our thermastat, which read 60- pretty cold for me for inside. I decided not to mess with it, thinking that the sunlight would warm the house up as the day progressed.
Not so
10:30am and still 60 degrees. I pulled up weather.com to find that the low tomorrow is 24 degrees. WHATEVER. I put the heat back on.
Thankfully I hadn't put my sweaters up yet, so here I am- working and wearing my nice pink christmas sweater and thick socks.
YAY for unpredictable middle Tennessee weather.

And the Shout out of the day goes to....
...the one, the only, and one of my most favoritest people in the entire world...

FERRIS RHEA WARNOCK
Today, 23 years ago- she was brought into the world by another one of my favorite people, but we'll save that one for August!
Unfortunately, she had to work today, so she's at the hospital working hard, I'm sure- about to get off and then go to dance. An exhausting, but hopefully fulfilling day. She is pretty amazing and I am so grateful to the Lord that He led her back to Nashville. Although I know there were many reasons for it, sometimes I feel as though it was just for me.
She is my closest girl friend and I love her an unmeasurable amount.

Ferris- I love you so so much! HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Too much dirt!
So, I'm frustrated. I've got all this dirt and no where to put it. I'm not talking about gossip or talk, I'm talking about real, messy dirt. When mom and I worked on the shrubs the other day we had so much of this horrible clay-dirt and I tried to bag it up nicely for our oh-so-sweet garbage men to take today and they wouldn't! They left it all sitting there!
Oh the trials of living in suburbia! When I lived in Arkansas growing up, surrounded by woods, there was plenty of room for dirt, but now......nowhere, and I don't think our neighbors would appreciate us dumping into their lawn.
So, if anyone has any fantastic ideas of what to do with extra dirt- I'm all ears! :-)

Happy Monday!
Good morning everyone. What a wonderful weekend this was, and it just makes it so great that the weather is beautiful now! I love it- everyone has that spring fever, even though it feels like summer here (the high today is 81) but it's still wonderful to get to be outside.
Jordan was at Acquire the Fire this weekend, so I didn't actually get to see a whole lot of him, which is always sad, but he's back now, so it's okay! :-) Friday my mom came down to Spring Hill to help me with the front bed of our house. I am being forced to learn to garden and take care of yard now, which I must admit is not the most fun thing in the world, but I'm sure the more I learn, the more I will enjoy it. We spent some time at Home Depot getting some essentials, a few annuals, and a few new shrubs since some of ours were clearly not making it. She ended up spending the night, which was a lot of fun to get to see her.
We worked on it a little more in the morning before heading back up to Franklin, where we quickly stopped at Kohl's before she dropped me off at Subway to meet Ferris & Trish to pick up lunch for the ATF peeps. We got it and headed downtown to BiCentennial Park in Nashville, after Ernie & Robby made the mistake of leading us to Centennial park first- oh well. We hung out with everyone for a while, chatted, played some frisbee and got to hear a little about the conference so far.
Ferris and I then left and went back to Spring Hill- she ran and showered while I did a rehearsal for a quartet for Easter Sunday, then we both spent some time cleaning the house. (Thanks for the help Reese) The rest of the evening was spent running some errands in Franklin, and we went to bed early since we both had to be at NS Cool Springs ta 7:00am on Sunday.
Sunday, yesterday that is, I got up at 5:30am and we were at the church by 7. We had a joint-service with all the Newsong Congregations yesterday, so I was a part of worship. Ron Luce, the leader of Teen Mania and Acquire the Fire spoke. It was incredible!! He talked about the culture war that the teens of America are immersed in: what it is and then he challenged parents with what they can do about it. It was extremely helpful and just generally awesome. I couldn't help but just CRY both services as I looked from the platform at the faces of these amazing, gifted, alive and precious teens who need help in fighting to save their lives from this horrible war of lies, sexuality, depression, and falseness all around them! God gave me a fresh and increased passion to GO AFTER IT with these kids....SO after church (we finally got out about 1:45pm- 6 hours and 45 minutes after I arrive :-) we went to play Ultimate Frisbee with a whole bunch of the youth. Over 45 people showed up- which was amazing and we even had a few ppl join in our game. They played for like 4 stinkin' hours- my husband's obsessed. I had to make a Costco run, so I left and came back, but it was amazing and gorgeous outside.
By the time J & I got home- we were seriously almost too tired to talk- I made some chicken, brown rice and salad and we ate, sat for a while and literally fell into bed about 9:30. I slept like a baby and woke up full and refreshed this morning: partially by good sleep and mostly by the spirit of God which I can just feel moving in newness! It's so exciting and I am so thankful for that life each and every moment.
We are excited about all that's going on this week: Our friends Austin & Monica Selby from Memphis are coming in briefly tomorrow afternoon....so we'll see them for coffee, then Jordan's parents, Grandpa Chalker, and Erin & Dan come in on Wednesday and Thursday at various times. And we have Life Group and Ferris's birthday this week! So, it's going to be full, but great! Okay, on that note- I gotta go.
Bless you today!

10 days from my last post...
...finds us leaving Naples after a week here in Florida. Jordan and I made a determination to fly down last minute this past Tuesday, because of the much heightened worsening of his Grandma Chalker from her Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. After a long battle with this, she passed away first thing on Thursday morning. Wednesday had been a great day spent with all the family at Harbor Chase (the assisted living where she & Grandpa have both been for the past 2 years) taking turns going in 2 or 3 at a time to sit with her. The whole family, including Anne and the kids, has been down and they just left today.
So you'll excuse my delinquint blogging, as I've been rather busy in another world for the past week.
We had the funeral service on Saturday afternoon, directly after the 11-1 visitation. It was a beautiful service, and left everyone feeling victorious and uplifted, which is what Grandma's life did for people, so it was perfectly appropriate.
It's been a wonderful week- tiring at times, but purposeful and full. Thanks for everyone's prayers and stepping in to help us cover all our tracks last minute.
Much love!
Ps- and yes! I did make it to Teavana :-)

Beauty

What an INCREDIBLE day today is. I woke up this morning, made my usual cup of tea (Earl Grey today) and went upstairs to do some reading. After looking outside and seeing how beautiful it is, I determined not to do Pilates this morning, but instead to take a walk around the neighborhood. I was so glad I did. Everything is so gorgeous out there! Praise God for His unbelievable creation.
Romans 1:20a "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made..." and Romans 8:19 "For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God."
God can be found everywhere! God is not IN everything, but His attributes, His love, His mercy, His kindness, His BEAUTY, His tenderness, His sovreignty.....it is all over the place- ready for us to discover if we can take the time to stop and listen to what He is saying to us.
Have a wonderful Friday and an even better weekend. May your day be full of God's grace and love as you abide in Him.

Hiking, Movies & 24
It was a really wonderful weekend! Saturday was restful, relaxing, and fun! U-turn was great that night, and then service on Sunday morning was wonderful too. Kyle Cooper led worship at Spring Hill, Jordan was at the Woodbine campus- it's been amazing to see this rotating thing happen. It really does feel like one church with many congregations and it's amazing how God is using this in so many awesome ways.
After church, Ian, Ferris, Jordan & I had lunch together at the house. After relaxing for a little while, Robby stopped by and we all went hiking at this really neat trail in Columbia. We threw the frisbee for a while first and then hiked I think about 3 miles. It was a gorgeous day and SO good to be outside! I am excited about the warm weather coming up.
After hiking, we decided to make breakfast for dinner: whole wheat pancakes, turkey sausage and bacon, fresh fruit, mmm, mmm, good! We decided to rent the movie, "The Guardian" which none of us had seen yet but Jordan and I had really been wanting to see. After we got back to the house, Mr. Robby promptly fell asleep to "take a nap" in Jordan's office, and the rest of us made a yummy dinner and settled in to watch the movie. Robby ended up sleeping for about 4 hours before waking up to go home- the boy was tired!! Ferris had to leave a little before the movie ended, as she had to work EARLY the next day. She always has to work early, but anway.....the movie was really really good. Definitely worth a rental if you haven't seen it yet.
Last night we had family dinner night, and got to hear about Chris's mission's trip to Ecuador that he just got back from on Sunday night. It sounded awesome! We ate and talked and caught up with each other before watching 24 on TiVo. Jordan and I watch that show about once every 2-3 weeks, but it's usually enough to "sort of know" what' going on. It's a great show, but we're not really interested enough to try and watch it every week.
Alright- gotta jet. Have a wonderful Tuesday!

My Pilates Experience....
While I'm on hold for United Insurance (it always takes forever to get through to them) I'll give a quick update about my newest form of exercise that I'm loving: Pilates!
There are many reasons I am really enjoying it. First, since I sit all day- at my desk or whatever, I have been feeling like I'm just stiff, and I have very little flexibility and just all in all, need some lengthening. Second, I used to do a lot of running and elliptical stuff and really enjoyed that, but it is more "bulking" than "lengthening." Now, don't get me wrong, I still need to aerobic stuff, so I am trying to incorporate walking or jogging a few times a week as well, but I am loving the "core" strenghtening that pilates provides. It's also very time efficient for me. I usually wake up somewhere between 6-6:30, depending on when we got to bed, and the Pilates workout takes 30 minutes completely, which still allows me an hour to be in the Word and be working by 8:00. It's great!
I have been doing the Stott Pilates method so far. I ordered the beginner set, which came with 4 DvDs that vary in difficulty and focus. So far, I've been doing the beginners, Pilates Express, which can seem very simple but in actuality, it is helping me to get the form and breathing down right. Pilates movements are not difficult for the most part, but if you actually take the time to do them right and with control, they become much more purposeful. I always feel so good when I'm finished: awake, stretched out, worked out and stronger. I love it!
Okay, United picked up, so I'm gonna scoot! Have a great Weekend!

My blogging skills are getting really bad! So sorry, I can't even begin to describe how busy I've been, mainly with work lately. But, I love it so it's all good.
Jordan and I had a WONDERFUL time in Florida last week. The weather was beautiful and we loved getting to spend some time with our family. Erin & Dan's new house looks absolutely amazing- I wish I had some pictures to show you!
Before that- we went on a Winter Retreat with the whole youth group, which was great! Again, I apologize for my lack of pictures. It snowed almost 4 inches, which was so great since we rarely get to see that kind of snow. We spent one night- Friday night- which was very cold. I slept with no joke, about 8 layers and did not get too hot either. That's the scary part. It was an amazing time of God really building relationships and I was so thankful we did it this year.
Do I even need to begin to talk about all the wonderful tea I got while in Florida at Teavana? I was looking back at the posts the other day and realized how many were about tea. Maybe there is an obsession after all, as Jordan says :0) Well, to save you all, I won't tell you about the yummy things I found! You'll have to see for yourself sometime.
Blessings to everyone. I'll try to get some pictures up here soon! I need to post an update on my dear mother too. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow and get an update pic too. She looks so cute right now! I love her!
Have a great Thursday and if you're in Tennessee- enjoy these crazy storms!

sooooo looong!
I am bad, bad, bad. I've meant to blog all week, but frankly- I've been working a lot in the office. Haven't had time. We're leaving Florida tomorrow around noon, so I'll try and catch you all up on everything tomorrow either from the Memphis or Ft. Myers' airports or when we get home.
(And I just upset my dear husband who was really wanting to play doubles tennis in the morning before we left but I totally forgot to bring my tennis shoes. Big oops! I'm married to Jordan Roe and I forgot my tennis shoes- what gives!)

Oh she knows me well...
Moments after I published my last post, I heard the undeniable sound of a Delivery Truck pulling into our driveway. I forgot about it for a little bit because I was on the phone with a client, but afterwards remembered and ran to see if they left a surprise. They did!!! There was a little white box on our porch addressed to me- so exciting. Except I had no idea what it was and was afraid I had ordered something without realizing it.
What was inside but some flowering tea from my dear friend Trish for my birthday! So awesome!! It's Numi- which is a huge plus, and you can read about what flowering tea is right here. It's very cool and very exotic. I can't wait to try it- I may try some tonight!!! So THANK YOU Trish! You have made my week! :-) I cannot wait to try the Jasmine Lovers White tea.

Can't get enough tea....

....maybe I'm becoming addicted. It's just too fun to turn on the tea kettle in the morning, and then look at my teas and decide exactly which one I'm in the mood for. Mmm, mmm, mmm! This morning I had two cups: English Breakfast to begin with, and then Earl Grey Green in late morning. I'm grabbing a quick bite to eat- little lunch break- and I snuck onto Teavana's website. I have tea envy! I want them all. Okay, maybe it is getting a little out of hand :-)
We are going to Florida on the 19th though, and you had better believe I am making a stop by Teavana, so I am resisting any urges to purchase some right now- because I can get a whole other tea flavor for what I would pay for shipping.
The Gaddis (Nathan & Bethany) get to stay with us again this weekend! Yay! Exciting. They've been at the re:create conference all week which I think is finishing up tonight. We will get to do something with them tomorrow night, although I don't think we've figured out what.
Okay, nice break. Back to work! Have a happy day and go drink some tea! :-)

It's been a good week so far. Very busy- for Jordan really, just one of those weeks where there's a lot going on. He has a Youth pastors' luncheon today as well as several meetings, so his day I'm sure will fly by.
I have been working like crazy. Last week, Florida Legislature issued an emergency law stating that no Insurer could non-renew a client for any reason but non payment of premium, effective immediately. In a nutshell- this means a lot for our industry. We've been fielding tons of client calls and trying to figure out what's going on. So, that's been a bit crazy, but things are getting back to normal.
I got to talk to Jessica last night! She & Jesse have recently moved to Hawaii and I have really been missing her. She's going to call again this evening- her lunchtime so we can talk a bit more. It's so neat to hear about everything over there- where they're living, what it's like, the people they're meeting- all sorts of things. God has really been providing for them, and it's amazing to see.
Well just wanted to shoot a quick update- let you know we're here and alive and kickin! It's actually been a great week so far. Nothing eventful in a monumental sense, but God certainly is doing things in our lives- always doing something, so I can't say it's been a bit boring.
Blessings to you!

Colts ALL THE WAY, BABY!

Last night was amazing!!! Every year, around the first week of February, I always get a little bit sad watching the Super Bowl, because although it's a wonderful game and full of surprises, it's a bit depressing that it means no football for 6, almost 7 whole months. It's a difficult thing for me to grasp :-( But, last night was worth it! The Colts won the superbowl. OF course I am a bit biased, they are our team, but I can't think of a more deserving team in the National Football League right now. Overall, this team is even-keeled, very supportive of one another, very steady and classy. Head Coach Tony Dungy is always calm & collected, Peyton Manning rarely gets too ruffled, and superstar receivers like Marvin Harrison are content to just get the job done without all the hype and hoopla that characterizes so many others in their field. (T.O.- take a lesson....)This picture says it all- Harrison with his son after last night's big win!

Here, Peyton Manning, Tony Dungy and I think Dungy's wife celebrate finally having the Vince Lombardi Trophy. It's amazing when you think of the past few years- especially of the Dungy family. A while ago- I think 2 years ago, Dungy's 18 year old son took his own life right before the playoffs. Horrible, absolutely heart breaking. And if you watched the post-game show last night, you saw for yourself Dungy's faith in Jesus Christ spelled out before millions of people as he gave credit and glory to the Lord, instead of himself, and even redirected the banner of "first black coach to take the title" with a comment about the "most important thing to him."

Just amazing to watch things like this- I've just been told, though I haven't seen it for myself, that Lovie Smith (Bear's coach) & Tony Dungy took out a huge add in USA Today that is a testament of faith in Jesus that sends chills down your spine. I'm going to have to get a copy of that!If you've seen it, let me know. I can't wait to see it.

What a great end to an amazing season of football, and we had a great time watching it last night with great friends and family. Nathan & Bethany Gaddis were here from Florida, Ian came, Mom & Dad, Ferris, Robby, Chris, even Dylan came in town. Robby was pretty brave coming into major Colts' territory, but he handled it well and stuck by his team. Sorry again for the loss, Robby, but it was great to have you!
Blessings on your day and your week. May the peace of God dwell richly in your hearts and minds!

Wonderful Wintry Whiteness!!
Today is beautiful!! I woke up a little later than I had planned, must have completely slept through my alarm, but it's kind of a blessing in disguise since I have been sick and trying to regain my voice before Sunday's service. Sleep truly is the bet medicine! So, I woke up and made some English Breakfast tea, and went upstairs to read and journal & lo and behold- what did I see before me out the window but white, wintery goodness! It snowed last night- and this is beautiful snow. It's actually covering the houses and the ground and each leafless tree branch, giving it that beautiful white outlined look. I love it!
We took some picture for all you beach bunnies! It is just amazing as warm as this winter has been that we actually got snow! A good bit too!
Yesterday was, as most of you know, my birthday! It was a great day, and I can hardly believe I'm 25 years old! We had done a birthday dinner a week ago for myself, Jordan and my Aunt Beth with my family, but I got some fun things yesterday. Jordan gave me a new Bible! It's so pretty! My other one was still great (God's word doesn't change:-) but it had fallen apart a few times, and it had my maiden name inscribed on it, rather than Roe- so this is very very exciting! Ferris came down to see me and we all went and got some coffee in the afternoon. Jordan and I went to Pancho's for lunch, and we're going out tonight. Not sure what I want to do yet....I don't think I'm in the mood to go to the theatre- maybe we'll rent "One Night With the King." I LOVE that movie! I think we're going to try the Asian Bistro over by It's a Grind......haven't ever been there and I have heard great things about it.
Well, I need to go, just wanted to give you a taste of what our view was this morning! Gaddis's: we're hoping it sticks around a bit for you! We'll see.....
